Most Anticipated Movie

There are many movies that I like. There are a few, that I love. I have seen a few in theaters this year, at the moment I cannot recall the number. To me, movies provide a moment of relaxation, a way of escape shall we say. I can be having the worst day, (in my opinion) and then pop in a much loved movie of mine, and all will be set to rights. I know, I know, it may sound silly, but that's just weird little me. Anyway, I shall be moving on.

As the title of this post suggests, I shall be naming my most anticipated movie of the year. And it is...



As this is the newest installment of The Lord of the Rings franchise, I am highly anxious for it. I read the book, and while it took me some time to get into it, (the beginning being somewhat on the boring side to me at first) as I read on, I found myself sucked in. And after basically ten years without another Lord of the Rings movie to satiate my appetite, I believe that it will be a most delicious treat to venture back to Middle Earth, only with a much different story taking place. Filled with adventure, suspense, mystery and friendship. I most certainly look forward to seeing the book brought to life, from the mind of Peter Jackson.

Keeping Christ in Christmas

Hello again. As I am sitting here, racking my brain of something to post, (which is almost completely eluding me) something popped into my mind. And, if you read on, you will discover just what it is. As one holiday comes and passes, (Thanksgiving) another one follows swiftly behind, and before we know it, it shall be here. If you haven't already guessed, dun dun dun... I shall tell you. It's almost Christmas! Yes, it is just around the corner, and before you know it, will be here and gone. But, in between now and then, as you shop, find that oh so perfect Christmas tree, decorate your home, and prepare your favorite foods, there is one thing that is often forgotten. As we all know, Christmas is the most commercialized and anticipated holiday of the year., raking in billions of dollars in sales. The biggest whoop-de-do. But what many people forget, is the thing of remembering the real reason that Christmas even exists. No, it's not waiting for jolly old st. nick, who is immortalized as basically a god, (that's right, I didn't even capitalize his name) or getting gifts. It's celebrating the birth of our Saviour, the best gift that was ever given to us! It's sad when people say: "Happy Holidays" instead of Merry Christmas. Or when Xmas is written instead of CHRISTMAS. People focus so hard on what they're getting, instead of what they've already been given 2,000 years ago. "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6 So, Merry CHRISTmas!

First Blog Post

First blog post. Hello. My name is Erin. And, since I don't really care for keeping myself as a subject, I suppose I'll write about other things for the moment. Firstly, I believe that God is the most important thing in the whole world. (and out) Secondly, well, if you don't have God, then change that. He's the best thing that could ever happen to you. So get to know him. You won't be sorry. And if you have a bible, read it. It's the best story. It's filled with history, suspense, romance and, most importantly, salvation. It has it all! :) Thirdly, well, I love my family. They are the second most important thing to me. I would fall apart if it weren't for God and them. As for the rest, I love to read, mostly fiction. Historical, Fantasy, Mystery, Suspense, and Romantic fiction being my favorite. I occasionally write, (having a few books that I've started) watch movies and the like. And well, I suppose that's enough about me.
